There aren't enough stars in the universe to award Cacio! Cacio is PERFECTION! The ambience and customer service are elite-level. Laura, our host and server, is an absolute sweetheart who glows with passion and enthusiasm. I've had the pleasure of dining in Rome, Naples, and Sardinia. Cacio is like bringing five-star Italian culinary heaven to Sarasota. We had the insalata caprese (so light and refreshing) gnocchetti gorgonzola (amazing blend of pear walnut and gorgonzola fondue), fettuccine calabrese (nice spicy kick), sweet crunchy cannolis, and the loveliest rich espresso. This place is a GEM. Can't wait to go back.

We hosted a neighborhood holiday dinner for 42 guests, and everything was fantastic. Laura and Veronica were a pleasure to work with—professional, efficient, and incredibly accommodating. The food was delicious, and they truly went the extra mile to make sure all our guests were taken care of. Highly recommend this restaurant for special events!

Dining at Cacio was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. The food is excellent in preparation, taste and presentation. We found our new favorite restaurant!!!!

This place is legit! Great food and service, authentic Italian food and an awesome vibe. Definitely check out this place before it becomes everyone's favorite spot!

Stumbled upon this little Italian restaurant, a surprise find in a Sarasota strip mall. Authentic flavourful homemade italian dishes. Lovely meal started with warm fresh home made bread with garlic olive oil. First course was a soul warming tasty Italian take on French onion soup with sausage and pecorino..: yum. For main course we chose tonight’s dinner specials. For me a fresh home made pasta with a lobster shrimp tomato sauce, My wife had the grouper with caper and olives… Both perfectly cooked and delicious. Prices were reasonable for the quality, , service was prompt and friendly. Best Italian I have tried in Sarasota.

As someone who is 100% Italian, and has eaten at endless Italian restaurants in the United States, as well as Italy, I can say that Cacio Italian Bistro is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Chef Veronica’s dishes are an absolute masterpiece! She puts a brilliant spin on classic Italian dishes like eggplant parmigiana and gnocchi. It’s as if your Nonna made it, but with a modern, mouth-watering twist. The insalata frutta was excellent, and the halibut was a triumph! For dessert, the panna cotta was phenomenal and the affogato was wonderful! (As an extra bonus, everything we ate was gluten-free, and the entire staff is there to assist with food allergies.) The service was best-in-class, which was lead by Chef Veronica’s sister, Laura. Laura does a wonderful job at running the front of the house, and making you feel like family from the moment you walk in. I also have to give their Italian wine selection and A+, as well as the interior and design of the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was made by Italian wood artisans. You truly feel like you are in Italy. The plates, bowls, glasses and every other attention to detail will make you feel like you are dining in bella Italia, especially the warmth and welcomeness generated by the spirit of this remarkable Italian restaurant.

Absolutely hands-down best gnocchi I have had. The atmosphere is somewhat austere but very pleasant, and, the light jazzy European pop music was perfect even though I also enjoy Dean Martin. The food was sophisticated but fairly simple and elegant. The marinara sauce they use in the melanzana parmigiana was lovely. That whole dish was delightful. The waitress was genuine and super sweet. We hope to return soon. Recommended.

Wow! The first thing that hits is the aroma of delicious Italian food. The ambiance is sweet (though a bit chilly, so bring a sweater because it is worth it! besides, you will warm up quickly after a glass of wine and a few laughs with friends.) Food is absolutely outstanding. Service is even better. The only issue: what to order? homemade pasta with fantastic sauces, specials, fish, meats, osso bucco. Everything is amazing! This is a wonderful gem of a place we are lucky to have so go visit, eat, enjoy, repeat, let's keep them around. Been back so many times and each time is fantastic! Thank you so much! Yet another wonderfully delicious evening at Cacio on Clark.
